Centre notifies Consumer Protection Rules revising pecuniary jurisdiction of District, State and National Commissions

As per the Rules, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission will have jurisdiction to entertain complaints where the value of the goods or services paid as consideration, exceeds ₹2 crores.

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution has notified the Consumer Protection (Jurisdiction of the District Commission, the State Commission and the National Commission) Rules, 2021 revising the pecuniary jurisdiction of consumer fora under the Consumer Protection Act.
