The Central government on Thursday notified the appointment of six advocates as additional judges of the Kerala High Court. .As per the notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice, the new judges in the order of seniority are:Mullappally Abdul Aziz Abdul Hakhim;Syam Kumar Vadakke Mudavakkat;Harisankar Vijayan Menon;Manu Sreedharan Nair;Easwaran Subramani;Manoj Pulamby Madhavan.They will serve as additional judges of the High Court for a period of two years from the date they assume charge of their respective offices. .The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the elevation of all six of the new appointees on March 12. .As of March 21, the Kerala High Court is functioning with 35 judges as against its sanctioned strength of 47.With the appointment of the six new judges, the vacancies will come down to six. .[Read Notification]
