The Central government on Wednesday notified the appointment of four lawyers as additional judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court..The four lawyers are Harinath Nunepally, Kiranmayee Mandava @ Kiranmayee Kanaparthy, Sumathi Jagadam and Nyapathy Vijay..The development was notified by Union Minister of State (independent charge) for Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal in a post on X..The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the lawyers for elevation in a resolution passed on October 10.The Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, in consultation with his two senior-most colleagues, had recommended the elevation of these advocates as judges in February this year. The Chief Minister and the Governor of Andhra Pradesh also agreed with the recommendation.As on October 1, Andhra Pradesh High Court was functioning with 28 judges as against its sanctioned strength of 37 judges..[Read Notification]
