CAN Foundation selects 12 winners for Project Ekalavya Scholarship [Read Notice]

The Confederation of Alumni for National Law Universities (CAN) Foundation has announced the candidates who have been selected for its Project Ekalavya Scholarship. The scholarship provides financial assistance for University fees at National Law Universities (NLUs) and related purposes to those in need of it.

The candidates selected for the Ekalavya Scholarship 2019 are:

  • Anshumaan Mishra, a 2nd year student of NLUO, Cuttack
  • Arjit Kumar, a 4th year student of NSLIU, Bangalore
  • Nagmani Kumar, a 3rd year student of NLU, Jodhpur
  • Anwesha Pande, a 4th year student of NUSRL, Ranchi
  • Bulbul Kumari, a 2nd year student of DSNLU, Jabalpur
  • Rajshri Seal, a 4th year student of NSLIU, Bangalore
  • Insaf Ahmad, a 2nd year student of GNLU, Gujarat
  • Kumar Mangalam, a 3rd year student of NLUO, Cuttack
  • Manav Sharma, a 2nd year student of MNLU. Nagpur
  • Trisha Jain, a 2nd year student of MNLU, Nagpur
  • Kirti Agarwal, an LL.M student of NLUO, Cuttack
  • Gopal Gaur, a 4th year student of MNLU. Mumbai

The scholarship amounts will be awarded to the selected recipients in the name of their respective NLUs on the day of the Inaugural Ceremony of the Foundation, to be held today at the Vidhan Sabha, Madhya Pradesh. The event is being organized by the CAN Foundation, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority and the State Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh.

Students are being awarded monetary assistance between Rs 1.5 lakhs and Rs 50,000 to pursue their study at their respective institutions. Applications for availing the scholarship had been invited by the CAN Foundation last month. The CAN Foundation is a charitable trust established to aid students in the pursuit of law. Project Ekalvya is the first of three projects planned by the Foundation to help students who require financial assistance in this area.
