A plea seeking suo moto contempt of court proceedings against Member of Parliament (MP) and General Secretary of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Abhishek Banerjee for allegedly trying to malign the judiciary and undermine its dignity, was dismissed by the Calcutta High Court on Monday [Susmita Saha Dutta v Avishek Bandyopadhyay].
