Calcutta High Court advocates not required to wear gowns during summer

A notification to this effect was issued on Friday by the Registrar General, on the instructions of Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam.

In view of the soaring temperatures in the city, the Calcutta High Court on Friday exempted lawyers from wearing black gowns during court proceedings till the end of the summer season.
