BS Prasad has been appointed Advocate General for the State of Telangana.
The state had been functioning without an AG since March this year, when Prasad’s predecessor D Prakash Reddy resigned abruptly citing personal reasons.
Prasad belongs to the weaver community. He told Bar & Bench that the Chief Minister had conferred a great honor on the Backward Classes community by appointing him.
Prasad also said that it was the first time in the history of the High Court Court of Judicature at Hyderabad that a person from the Backward Classes had been appointed to the post.
He added that he would do his utmost to serve the State of Telangana and achieve the desired results.
