A book on “Commercial Dispute Resolution- State of the Law in India” will be released by Supreme Court judge Justice KV Viswanathan and retired Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul in New Delhi on August 24, 2024.
The book, published by LexisNexis, will also be launched in Chennai by Supreme Court judge Justice MM Sundresh and Acting Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, Justice D Krishnakumar along with American lawyer Gary B Born on August 31, 2024.
The chief editor of the book is advocate Anirudh Krishnan and the book includes contributions from his current and ex-colleagues at AK Law Chambers.

The book identifies the issues with the commercial dispute resolution system as of 2015, analyses the working of marquee commercial dispute resolution-related legislation post-2015, namely the Commercial Courts Act, 2015; the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016; amendments to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 in 2015 and subsequent amendments; and the Mediation Act, 2023.
Various chapters discuss the march of law in relation to each of these legislation. In addition, there is also discussion on certain general commercial law issues that have arisen and that may arise in the future.
