A day after senior IAS officer and Education Secretary Anil Swarup tweeted a copy of a letter written by the Bombay High Court’s Deputy Registrar, sitting High Court judge, PR Bora J has asked the order to be cancelled, reports The Indian Express..The letter, which had sought VIP accommodation for the judge’s son amongst other things, has now been cancelled says Justice PR Bora. Speaking to The Indian Express, the judge said that he was “shocked” at the letter being sent, and said that it “should not have been done”..When asked whether there existed any guidelines for such a letter being issued in the first place, the judge reportedly said that,.“No such protocol is there for family members of judges. It is some enthusiasm shown by protocol branch, like in case of a High Court judge’s tours… I would never ask for such treatment for my son. (In fact) my son has booked a private taxi from Jaipur for his tour.”
