The Bombay High Court recently granted interim protection to slum dwellers from Chembur against demolition orders issued under the Maharashtra Slum Area (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971 on account of the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai.
