Bombay High Court forms special bench to review slum redevelopment law

The Bombay High Court has established a special division bench to review the Maharashtra Slum Areas (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971. This bench, presided over by Justice G. S. Kulkarni, will begin its proceedings on August 16, 2024, to address concerns about how the law is being applied.
