I am giving my consent on my own accord and free will," Mishra testified before the Court after the prosecution moved a plea to conduct Narco Analysis.The Court, therefore, allowed the plea."Keeping in view of the facts and circumstances of this case and the consent given by the said alleged accused, the Court is satisfied that he has given his consent to undergo the Narco- Analysis, Polygraph and Brain Finger Printing Tests with his own volition. Hence, the prayer of the I.O to conduct the aforementioned three numbers of tests upon the alleged accused namely Dinakrushna Mishra at the State Forensic Science Laboratory, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat is hereby allowed," the Court directed. .The matter involves allegations that an army officer and his lawyer fiance were tortured by the police when they visited the Bharatpur police station on September 14 to file a complaint about a road rage incident.The lawyer also complained that she was subjected to sexual assault at the police station.In response to the nationwide outrage over the incident, the Odisha Police suspended five officers on September 19, including the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of the Bharatpur Police Station.The suspended officials include IIC Dinakrushna Mishra, Sub-Inspector Baisalini Panda, Assistant Sub-Inspectors Salilamayee Sahoo and Sagarika Rath, as well as Constable Balaram Handa..The Magistrate Court today noted that the case record revealed that the incident took place inside Bharatpur Police Station on September at around 2:00 AM.
