The Supreme Court on Thursday asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Central government to immediately take a call on the commutation of death sentence of Balwant Singh Rajoana, in jail for 26 years for the assassination of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh [Balwant Singh versus Union of India].
