BCD summons Prashant Bhushan to examine if his Tweets, SC's contempt verdict against him would disqualify him from practising as an Advocate

Bhushan has been summoned to appear before the Council on October 23 at 4 pm. The Delhi Bar Council has further also asked him to submit his reply on the issue within 15 days.

In line with a BCI resolution issued earlier this month, the Bar Council of Delhi (BCD) has decided to examine whether the tweets by Advocate Prashant Bhushan, which had triggered criminal contempt proceedings, as well as the judgment convicting Bhushan for contempt would amount to professional misconduct meriting his disqualification from the Bar Council rolls.
