AZB & Partners’ Senior Partner and CEO, Abhijit Joshi has resigned from the firm..Abhijit confirmed that he would be leaving the firm on November 15 for “entrepreneurial pursuits”..“I am following my heart and my beliefs”, added Abhijit..Abhijit, who specializes in M&A, joint ventures, private equity investments and corporate restructuring, is a graduate of University of Mumbai and is dual qualified to practice both in India and England & Wales..AZB Managing Partner Zia Mody confirming Abhijit’s resignation said,.“Abhijit has had a long innings with us and has been a valued member of our Firm. He very much wants to pursue his own entrepreneurial path and start up on his own. We will miss him. We wish him all the very best for the future”..Abhijit joined the Chambers of Zia Mody as the first Partner in 2001; it was later renamed AZB & Partners after merging with Ajay Bahl in Delhi. Prior to that he was working with Dua Associates for one and a half years and before that he was with Amarchand Mangaldas for about seven years, where he started his career..Abhijit was later appointed as the CEO in 2011 to manage the firm’s Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune offices. He was recently awarded the FT Innovation in Corporate Law award for Tech Mahindra-Mahindra Satyam merger.
