It is this last category that has the likes of Advani & Co’s Partner and Bar & Bench columnist, Apar Gupta as well as the Centre for Internet and Society’s Pranesh Prakash..We spoke to Apar Gupta and this is what he had to say..B&B: How does it feel to be chosen for something like this?.Apar Gupta: It’s a great feeling. Given the gestation period for professional stability in litigation any external recognition is encouraging..B&B: As a first generation lawyer, do you have any advice for those who are just joining the profession?.AG: It is normal to have doubts and to feel insecure. Recognise them, confront them with a better quality of work..B&B: Does this mean you are going to up your billing rates?.AG: (laughs) I have often been criticised by colleagues for under billing. I practice law for the love of law and a better conception of the legal profession.
