Anticipatory bail to be filed under BNSS even if FIR under IPC: Delhi High Court

The Delhi High Court recently held that even if a first information report (FIR) is filed before the implementation of new criminal laws, the anticipatory bail plea filed on or after July 1, 2024 (the date when the new criminal laws came into force) will be decided under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) [Prince v State of Govt of NCT of Delhi & Ors].
