A group of prospective law students had filed a writ in the Allahabad High Court, bringing to light discrepancies in the results of CLAT 2015. They have also sought the publication of the results of this year’s entrance examination..Aditya Dua and ten other students approached the high court demanding the release of the CLAT 2015 question paper after errors were found in some questions. According to the same news report, CLAT officials claimed that only one question was wrong, for which a bonus mark was awarded to all candidates. The petitioners have also asked that the results be published in the form of a merit list, as was stated in the CLAT 2015 brochure..In an order passed on May 25, Justice Yashwant Varma issued notice to the organizing university, RMLNLU Lucknow and other respondents. The court also ordered RMLNLU to publish the results in the form of a merit list on their website..Highlighting the discrepancies in the results, Justice Varma noted,.“…girl candidate who has secured a State Rank of 51 is shown to have obtained a State Women Ranking of 105…a person who scored 26.25 marks was given an All India ranking of 4539 while another candidate with a similar CLAT score was given an All India Rank of 25073.”.Advocate Manish Goyal appeared on behalf of the petitioners. The next date of hearing is July 9, three days after the admission process is scheduled to come to a close..This is the second time the organizing university, RMLNLU Lucknow, has been dragged to court in the past couple of months.
