16th SILF Turf Cricket League featuring 28 law firms kickstarts with captains' meet, draw of lots

The 16th edition of the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) Turf Cricket League kickstarted on Wednesday (September 25) with the captains' meet and a draw of lots hosted by the President of SILF, Dr Lalit Bhasin.

The trophies for the winning and runner-up teams were unveiled by Dr Bhasin, Sachin Khurana, founder of Turf Sports Management, Manoj Singh, managing partner of S&A Law Offices, and Vijay Chaudhary, Chairman of the Ram Rattan Group.

The 16th Edition of the SILF Turf Cricket League is slated to be held in Delhi from October 5, 2024, with the finals scheduled for December 1.

Matches will be played on weekends at the Modern School, Barakhamba Road and the Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce , Pitampura.

28 teams are participating in the tournament this year. The teams will be divided into 7 pools of four teams each. The pool composition is as follows.

The league format ensures that each team will get to play 3 league matches and at least 1 knockout match.

This year, most matches of the tournament will be live streamed on YouTube with commentary and scorecards. There will also be facilities of 3rd Umpire for run out and stumping decisions at all matches played at Modern School.
