NDR and AZB advise in Intel acquiring a minority stake in Omnesys

Intel Capital, Intel Corporation’s global investment organization has acquired a stake in Omnesys Technologies, Bangalore. Omnesys provides software for securities trading and order-management systems..Narasappa, Doraswamy & Raja advised Omnesys Technologies with a team led by Partner Siddharth Raja and Senior Associate Kshama Ravikumar..Intel was advised by AZB & Partners, Delhi with Partner Gautam Saha and Associates Sachin Mehta and Dushyant Bagga..A press release by Intel reports funding for the investment in Omnesys Technologies will come from the $250 million (Rs. 1175 crore) Intel Capital India Technology Fund established in December 2005. This fund invests in Indian technology companies to help stimulate local technology innovation and the continued growth of India’s information technology industry..The VC Circle reports this is Intel’s 8th deal, inclusive of Omnesys and Intel Capital has invested $45 million (Rs. 216 Crores) in India this year. The other deals that Intel Capital announced this year in India include Althea Systems, July Systems, MCX, Verismo, and Allied Digital Systems. Intel Capital also announced follow-on investments in two Indian portfolio companies, Vriti and Wortal.
