Naik Naik gets 2 equity partners and appoints 2 more as partners Opens Delhi office

The Delhi office shall be managed by Harshvardhan Jha..As per the press release, Anuja Jhunjhunwala shall continue to focus on Real Estate, Retail and Litigation while Madhu will focus on Technology, Media and Entertainment and Dispute Resolution..Speaking to Bar & Bench, Abhishek (pictured left) recounts how he has witnessed the growth of not only the firm but of the entertainment industry as well. The GLC-Mumbai graduate joined the firm in late 2005, after a year at Singhania & Partners. Originally with a corporate background, Abhishek will continue to focus on corporate M&A, PE and corporate litigation. Recounting his early days, Abhishek says that “I was very young when I joined Naik….and the media and entertainment [business] was not really very organised back then…it was not a big deal back then.” It was only with the passage of time that a level of organisation was brought into the “industry”, a process which Abhishek has witnessed firsthand. Discussing what sets apart Naik Naik from the rest, Abhishek says that the firm is “aggressive in its ambitions” and is particularly well-known for its quick response time..As per the press release, Ravi will focus on the Media & Entertainment, Dispute Resolution, Competition Commission and Indirect Tax. Ravi will be based in the new Andheri office in Mumbai. Ravi is a graduate of ILS Law College Pune..The press release also states that the firm has “strengthened its Corporate and Dispute Resolution teams” with lateral hires taking the lawyer count in the firm to 40.
