Mulla & Mulla sends legal notice to Prashant Bhushan’s junior, Google for blog post on Anil Ambani

Anil Ambani, through his lawyers Mulla & Mulla, has sent a legal notice to Advocate Prashant Bhushan’s junior, Pranav Sachdeva for publishing the contents of Bhushan’s complaint to the Special Investigation Team (SIT). The law firm has also sent the notice to Google for hosting the blog..Bhushan had written to the SIT, which was constituted on orders of the Supreme Court in the black money case, alleging money laundering by the Reliance Anil Dhirubai Ambani Group of Companies..The notice sent by Mulla states that,.“Our client’s attention has been drawn to a false and malicious blog titled ‘Black money of Anil Ambani (Prashant Bhushan’s complaint to SIT) put up by you No. 1 [Pranav Sachdeva] on the blogging platform bharatkalyan97@blogspot.in provided by you nos. 2 to 4 [Google].You no. 1 have put up on the said blog a letter purported to be addressed by Mr. Prashant Bhushan to Shri. ML Meena, Member Secretary, SIT, Ministry of Finance, New Delhi…The title and contents of the blog are grossly defamatory and falsely suggests to the reader of the blog that our client is involved in black money transactions and a complaint of money laundering has been filed against our client in relation to the 2G scam on the basis of fresh evidence.”.Alleging that the contents of the blog are “absolutely false, baseless, offensive and grossly defamatory” and have been “maliciously posted”, the notice has sought the removal of the post as well as the disclosure of the identity of the individual who published the post in the first place. .After coming to know of this notice sent by Mulla, Prashant Bhushan has now written a detailed letter to Anil Ambani expressing surprise over why the notice was never sent to him, the author of the letter, but was instead sent to Pranav and Google..Image taken from here..You can read the blog post here..Read the legal notice sent to Pranav Sachdeva and Google below.
