LSAT-India 2019 to be conducted on June 2, 2019

The Indian edition of the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), will be conducted on June 2, 2019.

Earlier, the exam date for LSAT had been shifted from May 19 to May 26. However, it was recently notified that this year’s edition of the Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT) would be conducted on May 26. The rescheduling of the LSAT to June 2 thus comes as a relief for many law aspirants who are hoping to write both exams.

The new date was fixed also taking into consideration that the Lok Sabha elections in India are set to be conducted in April and May.

Kellye Testy, President and CEO, Law School Admission Council (LSAC) stated in a release,

To provide all law aspirants sufficient opportunity to take the LSAT – India and in light of Lok Sabha General Elections in the month of April and May, LSAC has decided to move the date of LSAT—India to June 2, 2019. The adjusted LSAT – India test date will provide additional convenience to ensure all law aspirants have the option to take the LSAT—India exam.

Divyalok Chetan Sharma, Senior Director, Pearson VUE said,

We make law aspirants’ schedules a top priority and continually work to provide as much convenience and flexibility as possible. Therefore, together with LSAC, we have decided to conduct the LSAT—India exam on June 2, 2019.”

LSAT—India is one of the standardised entrance tests for undergraduate and postgraduate law programs in India. Over 50 law schools accept LSAT—India scores as one of their criteria for admission. Pearson VUE delivers the exam in collaboration with the US-based Law School Admission Council (LSAC).
