PQE: 5 - 8 years

Qualifications
Strong academic background with a degree in law from a reputable institution.
7+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) with substantial period of experience in arbitration laws, with a demonstrated focus on the construction industry and a strong track record of success in representing clients in arbitration proceedings.
Proficient in commercial litigation, including civil matters before the High Court, and Supreme Court.
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts and arguments.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a client-centric approach to legal representation and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
Proven leadership and management abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing junior team members and leading by example.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
Job Description
As an Associate at AKS Partners, you will play a crucial role in our arbitration practice, focusing on matters related to construction sectors. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Partner and seniors in providing strategic legal counsel to clients.
Experience in representing clients in construction and infrastructure arbitration proceedings (domestic and international).
Overseeing the management of arbitration cases from initiation to resolution, managing the team, and ensuring that all proceedings are conducted as per internal and external timelines.
Managing relationships with clients and maintaining a regular flow of communication with periodic updates to the clients.
Conducting legal research and guiding the team on arbitration laws, precedents, and industry trends. Possessing and further developing in-depth knowledge of construction contracts and their arbitration clauses.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and agreements related to arbitration, including arbitration clauses, settlement agreements, and procedural motions.
Staying abreast of developments in arbitration laws and best practices, participating in industry conferences and seminars, and actively contributing to thought leadership initiatives through publications, presentations, and speaking engagements.
Remuneration: As per industry standards.
