Law Ministry asks Supreme Court to reconsider Gopal Subramanium’s elevation

A few months into his short tenure, Chief Justice RM Lodha faces opposition from the Law Ministry with respect to judicial appointments. As per a news report in The Hindu, the Law Minister Ravishankar Prasad has asked the Supreme Court collegium to reconsider Gopal Subramanium’s appointment as a judge of the Supreme Court.
