Even as the Supreme Court’s attempt to introduce a central selection mechanism remains shelved for almost a year, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad yesterday mooted a national-level entrance exam for judges of the subordinate judiciary, PTI reports.
Speaking at the launch of a new Law Ministry website and app, Prasad however made it clear that attempts were not being made to revive the idea of the All India Judicial Services (AIJS) for appointing lower court judges.
