SAM, CAM, Simpson Thacher, Davis Polk act on KKR investment in Reliance Retail

KKR has invested approximately ₹2,069.50 crore ($250 million) in Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL).

The transaction involved the subscription of 17,158,752 equity shares of RRVL for a consideration of approximately ₹2,069.50 crore ($250 million) among Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL) and KKR. With this investment, the KKR’s shareholding in RRVL has increased to approximately 1.42%.

Last month Sovereign wealth fund Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) invested ₹8,278 crores ($1 billion) into RRVL.
