SAM, Trilegal, Linklaters, Touchstone on Solar cell manufacturer Premier Energies IPO

Premier Energies Limited had made an initial public offering to raise ₹1539 Crores.

The Capital Markets team of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advised Premier Energies on this IPO.

The transaction team consisted of Prashant Gupta (Practice Head), Devi Prasad Patel (Partner), Kamiya Marwah (Senior Associate), Megha Mehta (Associate) and Kaushik Parkhe (Associate).

The Capital Markets team of Trilegal advised the Bankers Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited, J.P. Morgan India Private Limited and ICICI Securities Limited.

The transaction team consisted of Bhakta Patnaik (Partner), Brajendu Bhaskar (Partner), Malika Grewal (Senior Associate), Arsh Sinha, Janhavi Shah, Akanksha Goel, Shambhavi Sharma and Kavya Krishnaswamy, (Associates).

Linklaters acted as international counsel, representing the bankers on the IPO.

Touchstone Partners advised the Private Equity South Asia Growth Fund II and South Asia EBT Trust on this IPO.

The transaction team was led by Partner Uday Walia and included Associates Mahak Goyal and Prachi Dutta.

Premier Energies is an integrated solar cell and module manufacturer with an annual installed capacity of 2 Gigawatts (“GW”) for cells and 4.13 GW for modules. In addition, to manufacturing solar cells and modules, the Company provides engineering, procurement and construction solutions, operations and maintenance services and also operates as an independent power producer. 

The IPO was subscribed 75 times and the equity shares listed at a premium of 120% on the stock exchanges.
