JSA, Khaitan act on CESC financing

Axis Bank Limited (as the Investor) and IDBI Trusteeship Services Limited (as the Debenture Trustee) have subscribed to unlisted, secured non-convertible debentures issued by CESC Limited (CESC), for an amount of ₹300 crores.

JSA advised both Axis Bank and IDBI in this deal.

The transaction team consisted of Soumitra Majumdar (Lead Partner), Abhishek Ray (Partner) and Aradhana Dey (Associate).

Khaitan & Co acted as the legal counsel for CESC in this deal.

CESC is a flagship company of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, engaged in the business of generating and supplying electricity in Kolkata, Howrah and adjoining areas.
