Delhi-based private investment company GTI Capital Group has picked up stake in the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in a secondary transaction from IDFC Limited for Rs. 79 crore..J. Sagar Associates advised GTI Capital with a team led by Partners Sidharrth Shankar, Manisha Kumar and Pallavi Puri along with Associates Bir Bahadur Sachar, Udhav Gulati and Shantanu Jindel..Post the current transaction, GTI Capital will join other private equity investors in the NSE, including Temasek, General Atlantic, Actis, Norwest Venture Partners, Beacon India Private Equity Fund, Wolfensohn Capital, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, PremjiInvest and SAIF Partners..The last investment in the NSE was in May 2010 when Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Temasek which bought 5 per cent stake from NYSE Euronext for $150 million, according to VCCircle.
