Khaitan & Co. has advised Srei Equipment Finance Private Limited on their 1,000 crore issue of secured redeemable non-convertible debentures which closed on Monday..Partner N.G. Khaitan, who led the team was of the opinion that “This is perhaps the first private company to issue NCDs of the value of 1000 crores under the new SEBI (Issue & Listing of Debt Securities) Regulations. It was a challenging transaction, given we were advising both the issuer, and the six lead arrangers on a range of issues relating to the issue.”
