Karti Chidambaram: Petitions in Delhi HC transferred to SC for determination of Section 19 of PMLA

Hours after the Delhi High Court extended Karti Chidambaram’s protection from arrest for another two days, the Supreme Court has transferred to itself all the petitions pending before the High Court involving the legality of the Enforcement Directorate’s power to arrest under Section 19 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. (PMLA Act).
