Ravivarma Kumar has resigned from the post of Advocate General of Karnataka, barely two and half years into his tenure reports The News Minute..As per the story published on TNM, Kumar’s resignation comes after the appointment of two Additional Advocate Generals for the State, appointments that Kumar had opposed..The two AAG’s in question are Raghavendra Nadagouda and Devdutt Kamat. Kamat, a graduate of ILS Pune and London School of Economics, was appointed as AAG along with Senior Advocate Raghavendra Nadagouda in August this year..It remains unclear as to what prompted the resignation three months after the appointments were made. This is the second time that Kumar has resigned from the post, the first being in March last year. Kumar could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.
