Karnataka to get 10 special courts for crimes against women; Universities directed to install CCTV cameras on campus

Less than a week after a medical student at Manipal University was allegedly raped, the Karnataka Home Minister, KJ George (pictured left) announced the establishment of 10 courts exclusively for crimes against women. The Home Minister also stated that the government would be formulating guidelines to ensure the safety of students on campus.
