Justice MY Eqbal retires; Vacancies in Supreme Court rise to 6

Justice MY Eqbal of Supreme Court retired yesterday. He served as a judge at the Supreme Court for more than 3 years.

Justice Eqbal started his practice in the year 1975 in Ranchi. He was appointed judge of the Patna High Court in 1996 and later served in the Jharkhand High court. He was appointed as Chief Justice of the Madras High Court in 2010 before being elevated to the Supreme Court in 2012.

A farewell function was organised by the Supreme Court . . .
