A three-judge Bench of the Supreme Court recently made pertinent observations concerning the manner in which evidence in criminal cases should be appreciated. The judgment passed by the Bench of Justices NV Ramana, MM Shantanagoudar and Indira Banerjee notes,
"As observed by this Court in the case of State of H.P. v. Lekh Raj...a criminal trial cannot be equated with a mock scene from a stunt film...
