JSA, Khaitan, SAM lead on Mercer acquisition of talent management firm Mettl

Global wealth and talent management consultancy Mercer has acquired cloud-based tech and talent management firm Mettl, based out of Gurgaon.

J. Sagar Associates acted for Mercer and the team was led by  Joint Managing Partner Shivpriya Nanda along with Partner Daksh Ahluwalia and Associates Adhiraj Gupta and Priyanka Murali.

Partner Minu Dwivedi and Associate Tanisha Bhatia advised on employment due diligence and other employment-related aspects.

Principal Associate Zain Pandit and Associate Tanisha Bhatia advised on complex issues surrounding: (i) open source software, including the use of derivative and modified source code, and (ii) use of Aadhaar e-kyc data by Mettl.

Partner Kumarmangalam Vijay advised on the tax aspects of the transaction.

Khaitan & Co advised the selling investors - Kalaari Capital and Blume Ventures and the team was led by Mumbai Partner Vineet Shingal.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas acted for the selling founders and the team was led by Partner Amit Khansaheb along with Partner Nikhil Sachdeva, Prinipal Associate Abhishek Dubey and Associate Mayank Malhotra.

The acquisition marks Mercer’s entry into the rapidly-growing global talent assessment market and further enhances its position as a trusted strategic talent advisor to companies, reported ET.
