JSA boosts sports and media practice with Nandini Mehta

Nandini Mehta, former Media and Entertainment Partner at Vidhii Partners, has joined the Mumbai office of J. Sagar Associates as a Retained Partner to further strengthen the firm’s sports, media and entertainment practice..Nandini specializes in the Media, Entertainment & Sports sector and advises studios, production houses, distributors, exhibitors and aggregators in the emerging new-media space..Prior to joining Vidhii Partners, Nandini was working with Disney UTV where she advised in diverse legal areas including motion picture production & distribution, new media syndication and online & console gaming..In an interview with Bar & Bench, Senior Partner Berjis Desai, while discussing the vision of the firm had said, “We are now also focusing on 4 or 5 different areas of practice; we are starting a full-fledged shipping practice in the next two months, then we are focusing on media & entertainment practice”..Desai in the release said, “Nandini is a valuable addition to the advisory team at JSA ….. her coming on board will enhance and add value to the Firm’s Media, Entertainment & Sports practice.”.The firm has also recently promoted eighteen of its senior associates to retained partnership.
