JNU Sedition: No sanction from state govt yet, Court directs Delhi Police DCP to appear before itMarch 29 2019
With no sanction to proceed in the case, the Court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Deepak Sherawat today directed the DCP (Special Cell), Delhi Police to appear before it on March 30 in connection with the JNU sedition case against Kanhaiya Kumar and others.
Coming down heavily on Delhi Police, the Court has asked the DCP to submit a report explaining the delay in procuring sanction from the Delhi government to proceed in the case.
