The EU members include representatives of Delhi based diplomatic missions from Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Sweden and the UK..Black-flags greet EU members and Jethmalani: The 8 member EU delegation was met with protests by lawyers along with party workers from Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), who waved black flags at the members and shouted slogans against them. A protester stated to the NDTV that, “EU representatives come as observers, but try to influence judicial process in India. We will not tolerate this”. BJP’s lawyer, Senior Advocate Jethmalani accompanied the 8 member EU delegation, but did not comment at the protests demonstrated by the student party wing ABVP, of the BJP party..Doctor Binayak Sen was arrested on December 24, 2010 and a Raipur court upheld his conviction on charges of sedition and sentenced him to life imprisonment..Jethmalani for Chief Minister B.S.
