"The ability to take that risk at that point of time worked well.. I didn't think a lot. If I had continued to think, I probably would not have taken that decision at that point of time", he shared..Speaking to his motivations and passions, Sharma said that he was motivated by others' success stories. "Today if you see people coming from rural background in sports are doing so well. These are the success stories which always motivate you to think that if someone with such handicaps and limitations can achieve what they have, we are very privileged.. Why not us?".He added that two of his teachers had a very important role in bringing out his real capabilities. Further, he emphasised on the importance of a family's role."Everybody else in your ecosystem also has a role to play.".In his capacity as a managing partner, he shared that one of the challenges faced by him was misplaced competition within law firms. Further, he said that new age lawyers are far more intelligent, sharp and focused than the previous generations."And more importantly, they don't think that this is the end-all and be-all of life. They have their own personalities, pursuits, their own lives, hobbies and that is something which makes them different."However, he clarified that the only virtue missing in them was that of patience. .Speaking of personal attributes that he believe contribute to success, Sharma underscored the importance of ones manner in which they treat people, their humility and ability to take downturns. "I may be the most brilliant lawyer on the planet but if I don't have the ability to juice that talent, to grow my personality and bring in success- it is meaningless", he explained. .In his final message to his peers, he indicated that a culture of greater communication between senior partners at law firms should be encouraged. "At the end of the day, its the same family. I think we are over that stage where we felt insecure.
