India’s Daughter ban to continue till April; Delhi HC to examine I&B advisory first

The Delhi High Court today refused to set aside a ban imposed on the documentary ‘India’s Daughter’ by the Central government, while holding that it wished to peruse the advisory issued by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting before passing any order in the petition. The I&B advisory in question, issued in March, had directed all television channels to not screen the documentary feature which was based on the December 16, 2012 gang rape of a student in Delhi.
