Indian lawyers score a resounding victory against Pakistan in the Harmony Cricket Cup

The Pakistan team, which elected to bat first, scored 92 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs..The Bar Council of Punjab & Haryana had teamed-up with lawyers in Pakistan to host the first Indo-Pak Lawyer Harmony Cup Twenty-20 match to be played between the two countries on July 23 in Chandigarh. However, the cricket match was re-scheduled as most of the Pakistan lawyers could not obtain their visas on time. The Indian team which was chasing a low score card completed the run chase within 7.1 overs and with 10 wickets in hand..The Pakistani Captain, Naurang Hyat said, “these initiatives will help to bring about peace between both the countries and we have invited Indian lawyers to come to Pakistan and interact with the members of the Bar”..Speaking to Bar & Bench, organizer and former Chairman of Punjab & Haryana Bar Council said, “The match was attended by 15 Judges and more than 100 Senior lawyers of the Bar. We are considering the invitation of Pakistani captain and will take our lawyers to Islamabad to spread the message of peace and harmony”.
