Gujarat Chief Justice asks lawyers to settle dispute amicably; Adjourns PIL concerning assault of lawyer by lawyer’s association.

While hearing a PIL filed after a lawyer was beaten up for appearing in court during a strike, Chief Justice Bhaskar Bhattacharya offered to hear the matter in his chambers. The Chief Justice observed that hearing the matter in open court was not “conduicive” and directed the parties to settle the matter amicably.
