Government notifies re-appointment of six Additional Solicitors General [Read Notification]

The Union Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the re-appointment of six Additional Solicitors General (ASG)..A notification dated May 1, 2018, has intimated the re-appointment of the following ASGs:.Prabhuling K Navadgi for the Karnataka High Court – ASG Navdagi was the first to be appointed to the post of ASG for Karnataka, after the creation of the post in 2014. Prior to that, he has represented the Karnataka Government as Additional Advocate General in 2011..Satya Pal Jain for the Punjab and Haryana High Court – In addition to serving as ASG for the previous term between 2015 and 2018, SP Jain has also served as a part-time member of the 21st Law Commission of India, which was constituted to study judicial reforms..Satya Darshi Sanjay for the Patna High Court – He is the first incumbent to have been appointed to the post. As is the case with the Karnataka and Punjab and Haryana High Courts, the Centre created the ASG’s post on December 10, 2014, after amending Law Officers (Conditions of Service) Rules 1987..KM Nataraj for Bangalore, Southern Zone – This will be his third consecutive term as ASG.
