Four Rajasthan HC judges, one Uttarakhand HC judge to be made permanent

The Central government has processed the appointment of four additional judges of the Rajasthan High Court as permanent judges.

Justices Ashok Kumar Gaur, Manoj Kumar Garg, Inderjeet Singh, and Dr Virendra Kumar Mathur were confirmed as permanent judges on Wednesday.

This brings the total number of judges at the Rajasthan High Court, all of whom are now permanent, to 29. The total sanctioned strength at the High Court is 50 judges.

Justice Sharad Kumar Sharma has been appointed a permanent judge of the Uttarakhand High Court. With this development, and the recent elevation of Justice KM Joseph to the Supreme Court, the working strength of the High Court now stands at 7 permanent judges, as against a sanctioned strength of 9 permanent and 2 additional judges.
