

Yogesh Bhattarai, who had left AZB & Partners in 2012 for a sabbatical, has recently joined Trilegal as a Corporate Partner. He is based in the firm’s Mumbai office.
Bhattarai, a graduate of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore had joined AZB & Partners in 2002 as a Senior Associate. He was made a Partner in 2006 and was promoted to equity partnership in 2009.
Prior to joining AZB, Bhattarai worked at Nishith Desai Associates as well as Wadia Ghandy in Mumbai.
Speaking to Bar & Bench on his decision to join Trilegal, Bhattarai said, “It is a young dynamic firm, which has achieved so much in such a short span of time. I am very excited to be part of it.”
Karan Singh, member of Trilegal’s Management Committee said, “Yogesh is a strong addition to the firm’s corporate practice [and] we are very excited to have him join the partnership.”
Bhattarai had left AZB in June 2012 for a sabbatical. Talking about his sabbatical, Bhattarai said he spent a lot of time with his family and travelling in India but he quickly added, “I enjoyed what I was doing though it was hectic but I always wanted to get back to work.”
