The Supreme Court today dismissed a public interest litigation praying for directions to increase voter turnout in the country by way of mandatory voting.

A Bench presided by CJI Ranjan Gogoi and comprising Justice Deepak Gupta dismissed the petition filed in 2014 by one, Satya Prakash.
