Equitas Holdings raises Rs 140 crore from IFC existing investors Vichar Trilegal and AZB adviseOctober 23 2012
Equitas Holdings, a Chennai-based microfinance and micro-housing finance company, has raised a total equity capital of Rs. 140 crore ($26 million). Equitas has raised Rs. 90 crore from International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Rs. 50 crore from its existing Investors.
The existing investors include CLSA Capital Partners, Bellwether Microfinance Fund, India Financial Inclusion Fund, MVH SPA (Italy) and Microventures Investments (SICAR) (Luxembourg).
Vichar Partners advised Equitas Holdings with a team led by Partner Aarthi Sivanandh along with Associates Lavanya Kirthivasan and Vivek Sriram.
