Not so hand in hand; EC to hear plea for cancellation of Congress party symbolApril 14 2018
Just a month before Karnataka goes to poll for Assembly elections, the Election Commission of India (EC) has agreed to hear a petition seeking cancellation of Congress party's ‘palm of hand’ symbol.
The petition filed by BJP spokesperson and advocate Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay and will be heard by the Deputy Election Commissioner, Chandra Bhushan Kumar on April 18.
The Applicant filed this petition before the EC in January this year invoking Article 324 of the Constitution of India . . .
